{"id":406,"date":"2012-08-24T15:12:41","date_gmt":"2012-08-24T20:12:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.myplumcrazychallenger.com\/?p=406"},"modified":"2012-12-30T07:32:26","modified_gmt":"2012-12-30T12:32:26","slug":"new-hurst-pistol-grip-shifter-installed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.myplumcrazychallenger.com\/?p=406","title":{"rendered":"New Hurst Pistol grip shifter installed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Picked up a used Hurst Pistol grip shifter from the Challengertalk.com forums for a great price last week and it came in today.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll be mating this with an already upgraded shifter assembly from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hurst-shifters.com\/?wpsc-product=billetplus-2-shifter-dodge-challenger-6-speed-2009\" target=\"_blank\">HURST<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myplumcrazychallenger.com\/?attachment_id=407\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-407\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-407\" title=\"HURST pistol grip shifter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.myplumcrazychallenger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_0734-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.myplumcrazychallenger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_0734-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.myplumcrazychallenger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_0734-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.myplumcrazychallenger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_0734-400x300.jpg 400w, http:\/\/www.myplumcrazychallenger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_0734.jpg 1632w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that this was the version from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pistolgrip727.com\" target=\"_blank\">pistolgrip727.com<\/a>, that fits stock 6-Speed shifter assemblies, which I&#8217;m installing on the full <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hurst-shifters.com\/?wpsc-product=billetplus-2-shifter-dodge-challenger-6-speed-2009\" target=\"_blank\">Hurst sort throw assembly<\/a>.\u00a0 However with a few very minor modifications I was able to install and buttoned this mod up in about 20 minutes, which included a test drive.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>After pulling your old shifter handle, which bolts to the passenger side.\u00a0 The new shifter bolts into the back of the shifter knuckle.
